Timberwolves superstar guard Anthony Edwards has signed a massive multi-year shoe deal with Adidas. Shams Charania of The Athletic shared that the deal reached eight figures annually.

Edwards is a rising star in the league and soon to be a world star. The 22-year-old has had an AE-1 shoe line with Adidas that has been growing in popularity since April. The deal makes Edwards one of the top faces in the company and his reputation will only grow from here on out. Although Edwards just completed his fourth season in the NBA, he has already established himself as a superstar in this league and has already taken the Timberwolves to new heights.

This shoe deal is just the beginning, and it didn’t come by accident. Before this multi-year deal was announced, Edwards and Adidas announced that they will be dropping the AE-1 Low “Night Indigo” on August 15th.

Last season, Edwards led Minnesota to the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, sweeping the Phoneix Suns in the first round and defeating the 2023 NBA champion Denver Nuggets in the second round to advance to the Western Conference Finals. first since 2004. Even though Edwards and the Timberwolves fell short of the Dallas Mavericks, make no mistake, the Timberwolves are here to stay, all thanks to Edwards and his stellar play.

The standout guard is currently training with Team USA in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics. This will be Edwards’ first time playing in an Olympics and will do his part to lead the United States States in gold for the fifth time in a row. Fortunately, Edwards has all the help in the world, with future Hall of Famers at his side, including LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid.

Edwards is coming off a career year in 2024, being named to his second NBA All-Star game, making the All-NBA second team, and averaging 25.9 points, 5.1 and 5.4 assists per game average at career highs. 1.3 steals and shot 46.1 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from three. Edwards also finished seventh in NBA MVP voting and eighth in Clutch Player of the Year.

The Georgia native is chasing his first career gold medal on top of the huge deal he accomplished.
